Isetan Photo Shoot

We got our first experience at a photo shoot in Tokyo. EJ was chosen for Isetan's (a Japanese department store) fall "Re-Style" catalog

A job for her meant all four of us headed into the city.

The shoot took place in an empty art gallery, a blank canvas of concrete and stone. When we arrived there was a hubbub of kids, cameras and clothes.

EJ was whisked upstairs to have her hair brushed out and quickly became friends with the hairstylist.

Then it was time to wait till it was EJ's turn to shoot.

Fortunately her first outfit was a "pretty" dress. Nothing like wearing a $900 Chloe dress at four years old.

A little cover up on some scratches (probably from her little brother:) and then it was time to shoot.

She got to wear a variety of outfits and the photographer had her doing all sorts of poses.

Fortunately he wanted them to look natural in front of the camera and caught  his pictures while they were having fun.

She made quick friends with the other models and they played together when not in front of the camera.

We couldn't leave the city without a treat and some window watching.

Thanks to EJ and her adventurous personality we have a cute little catalog as a memento of our time in Tokyo.

Staying Cool with Ramen

The temp has been in the 90's, not exactly weather for a hot bowl of soup, but this ramen is so good that we had to have some even in the heat.

DaddyO ordered the spiciest bowl going with the eastern theory that spicy food actually cools off the body. Funny how countries with the spiciest cuisine also have the hottest temps and vice versa.

The kids got just a "little" spice and slurped their bowls up.

Baby B can't wait to get his hands on the noodles.

Helo Photo

Since our husbands spend much of their day in the cockpit of this metal bird, it seemed fitting for the spouses to gather for a photo in front of it to remember our time together.

That's Amore

Just another Friday night with DaddyO making pizza. Oh what pizzas they are! After countless nights of trying recipe after recipe I really think we've discovered a winner. I have no desire to go out for pizza again. In fact, I think it would be hard to find one better than DaddyO's.

This Friday night spread included...

some garlic and peperoni

and cashews, sundried tomatoes, and spinach

Good eats!

Chalk Trampoline Track

Some chalk + a trampoline + a few cars = an afternoon of fun

CJ took a break from jumping to do some drawing.

Then drive his cars around.

Of course there was time for a few faces for the camera.

It's always nice to find another use for something, especially when it brings a few minutes of peace and playtime.

Brothers II

Oh how fun it is to watch brotherly love. CJ is embracing what it means to be a big brother and enthusiastic to share everything he knows.

Hugs and cuddling are mandatory every morning.

Baby B gets a bit smothered sometimes.

But he's always back with more smiles.

The fun interactions are just beginning!
