With the numerous drives we have been making north and south, I have had to develop some strategies for keeping the kiddos occupied in the backseat.


They each have a travel bag that fits on their lap and before each trip I fill them with books and toys.  When the inevitable bordom hits I just hand their bag back and am given minutes (sometimes hours) of relief as they empty them out.

 Books are always a big hit!


Francis England's children's music has always been a favorite of mine and we especially like to sing "The Books I Like to Read" song. When I captured CJ reading on a trip up north recently I knew this was the time to use it. He is the newest member of our Back Seat Book Club!
