Purple Mangosteens
This is another fruit that can be added to my list of "firsts" this year. DaddyO brought purple mangosteens home for us to try. At around $8/bag they weren't cheap but much more reasonable than the $45/lb they can fetch in the States. They are easy to peel and the flesh inside has the delicate texture of a mandarin orange but with a sweet flowery taste. We loved the fruit!
