Kamakura Lantern Festival
by Pearl
When I heard about the Kamakura Lantern Festival I was expecting to find a temple surrounded by paper lanterns.
While it was a temple surrounded by lit latterns, I discovered it was also much more than that. Each lantern was a piece of art designed by a different artist, from young to old, basic to professional.

One of my favorites.
Crowds admired each one as they walked the road leading to the shrine.
