When EJ heard that we would be celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday she was quite excited, she's always up for celebrating a birthday, but asked why he was a doctor and why he had such a funny name. I guess I never discussed with her who wrote all the wonderful books we were reading. She got a good lesson about this wonderful author this weekend.

A Dr. Seuss birthday party at the library kicked off our celebrations. DaddyO joined us for this excursion and got to experience first hand why I spend so much time at the library.

After reading some Dr. Suess books and singing some songs, he cut, glued, and colored with the kids.



They even got to play birthday games like pin the hat on the cat.


EJ was very proud of the hat she made and wore as we ran errands the rest of the day.


And what would a birthday party be with out a treat bag to bring home with you!
