New Year's Fukubukuro and Osechi
by Pearl
The Japanese literally ring in the New Year and we enjoyed listening to the bells toll on Japanese television. We celebrated with a few other of their traditions the next couple days
We got our fukubukuro (lucky bags) from a pet store for Capri. A fun set of jackets were included for her.
A Japanese friend dropped off this fabulous box of osechi that her mom had made.
I had been thinking of buying one, they are sold anywhere from convenience to department stores, but it is so much more special having a home cooked one.
DaddyO and I enjoyed them along with some sparkling sake.
