A Jaunt to Harijuku

An audition in Harijuku seemed like the perfect reason to bundle up the kiddos and head into the city. Fortunately it turned out to be a beautiful winter's day.

EJ and CJ brought along their cameras and were on the lookout for Christmas decorations to photograph.

CJ also wanted to get in front of the lens.

A visit to Harijuku is not complete without a stop at one of the many crepe locations.

We strolled through some side streets and spotted a few Harijuku girls.

Meiji Shrine is always such a fun respite from the bustle of the city. The kids loved running along the wide paths surrounded by acres of gardens and forest.

A few weddings were taking place at the shrine and we got to watch the preparations and procession.

We warmed up with gyudon and ramen at the shrine's restaurant.

Then it was off to see the tree lined streets of Omotesando Hills

There were so many fun things to see along the street.

A little Japanese humor.

A Christmas tree made of hangers.

A visit to New York City with family at Christmas time has always been a favorite tradition and, while not with family, some of the windows and buildings could have easily been back in the states.
