Wooden Bead Necklaces

our inspiration
I don't usually accessorize with more than my pearl studs and wedding ring, but I saw this tutorial on the web and thought a wooden bead necklace would be fun for EJ to make and CJ to play with. All I had to do was pick up the wooden beads and we were ready to paint. With only a couple weeks to go till we see DaddyO we are in a bit of a yellow tizzy. The picture above was the inspiration for both our necklaces.

We assembled the paint, silk cording, paint brushes and paint. I did a little research into the type of paint I used since CJ would inevitably have the painted beads in his mouth and found the My Studio brand at AC Moore is non toxic and safe for children.

Then all EJ needed to do was start painting.

She was very proud of her finished necklace.

We both plan on wearing them on the pier for DaddyO's return.
