Longwood Gardens

One of the Easter traditions that stands out in my memory growing up was going to the Como Conservatory to see the flowers after the Easter service. Spring didn't come as early in Minnesota so it was usually the first chance we had to see the blooms and breath in the sweet fragrance of the new season.

We celebrated the holiday a day early this year with a trip to Longwood Gardens. The turned out to be perfect for the outing. We enjoyed beautiful flowers inside and sunny weather outside.

The conservatory had endless flowers for EJ to smell.

The ponds reflected the brilliant colors.

And provided a nice backdrop for family photos.

CJ loved leading DaddyO down the paths.

And cuddling up in his arms.

EJ posed a bit for some shots of her in her Easter dress. She's my girl!

Of course I filled my camera with picture after picture of glorious blooms. Here are a few of my favorite.

The flowers met every one of my expectations. I hope this is a tradition the kids look back on with much fondness as well.
