From Coronado to Balboa

san diego railroad museum
What to do with a whole day to myself?! It didn't take me long to fill up all the minutes and hours with things around the house. With our pack-up just a week away there is a lot to do!

The grandparents spent the day doing some of the kids favorite things. They started at the Coronado Library Storytime.

Crossed the street for lunch at Speckles Park.

Went on a rollercoaster ride over the Coronado Bridge.

And spent the afternoon in Balboa Park.

The Japanese Friendship Garden Tea Pavilion was a tranquil stop for slurping some noodle soup.

Of course the train museum was a must for the kids.

Being the biggest in the world there is enough to keep both young and old alike interested.

Their afternoon ended with a stroll through the gardens.

And listening to a Mexican band.

The grandparents arrived home with both kids asleep, not something I get to enjoy very often, so I had even more time to check off my to do list. The kiddos sure did love their special day with Grandma and Grandpa and the best part is this is the first day of a whole week!
