Lunch at the JNEX

Our first Japanese meal outside of airplane food was at a little restaurant located in a building many refer to as the JNEX. Atsugi base does not only house American armed forces but Japanese as well. This building is their version of our food court and mini mart.

There are two restaurants to eat at: a noodle shop and Fazenda's. The latter has become a common lunch place for us. It serves a variety of Japanese food and their set menu is a favorite. Plastic food greets you at the entrance so you can get an idea of what you want to order.

I usually always order Set B. It changes daily but always comes with a salad and bowl of miso soup. Something I know the kids will always eat.

Here we are a little jet lagged enjoying our first lunch.
